Record the condition before judging the result

When a part is loaded more than once, give each loading attempt its own record. This CBOXTEC worksheet is purchasing guidance, not an operating instruction, fixture design approval or proof of process capability.

Observation record

  • Part/sample ID; loading attempt; drawing revision; contact or locating observation; clamp state; manual adjustment; agreed check; result reference.

Separate observations from measurements

Write what was seen before assigning a cause. A gap, movement or intervention may relate to the part, fixture, loading method or another condition. Use agreed measuring equipment and acceptance criteria when a numerical decision is required; do not convert a visual impression into an invented tolerance.

Compare repeated loading under the agreed trial scope

Ask the trial provider to record setup changes and manual corrections between attempts. Repeating the same selected sample is not the same as testing production variation. If different samples or operators are relevant, identify them explicitly and keep the conclusions within the tested conditions.

Does this record qualify a welding procedure?

No. TWI describes welding procedure specifications and supporting qualification records. A fixture and loading observation sheet does not replace procedure documentation, engineering review or required validation.
